A Community For Scholars by Scholars
Join an active community of scholars, researchers, and curious minds dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. We welcome thinkers from all disciplines, backgrounds, and stages of life. Whether you are just beginning your scholarly journey or have spent years in research, you’ll find kindred spirits who share your passion for reading, writing, and learning.
Scholar Square is a space where learning how to do good scholarship — and becoming a better scholar — is not gatekept. Here you’ll
find the kind of environment the academy should provide: supportive, inclusive, and accessible. Work alongside others in The Study, meet informally in The Parlour, and take part in conversations in our forums, chat rooms, and live seminars. This is a place to exchange ideas, make friends, and learn from one another: a genuine community where scholarship thrives in company.
But more importantly, Scholar Square is a place where we rethink — together — what good scholarship really means. We provide a space where can question, converse, and imagine how scholarship itself might change for the better. Especially in a time when the values of the academy are being increasingly reshaped, we see these conversations as a way to make a difference: to preserve and renew what truly matters in scholarly life.

Scholar Square is stewarded by The Scholar Initiative CIC, a UK-registered, non-profit Community Interest Company. By law, all membership fees are reinvested into the life and growth of the community.
Today, we are beginning as a membership-based scholarly community. In the near future, we aim for Scholar Square to become a springboard for collective projects that help bring about the changes we need to see in the academy.
